In Loving Memory

Jason Michael Merchant

March 4, 1980 - January 8, 2008

Jason and me

I will miss you.

My cousin Jason is a real FIGHTER. He was born with a hole in his heart. They said he'd never live to be 12. But he proved them wrong, again and again. On December 20th he had his 5th open heart surgery to repair a valve and remove scar tissue. After 15 hours of surgery, and 3 weeks on life support, his heart just wouldn't work and his body got tired. Now he's with our gram in heaven. I want you all to know that this is the way I remember him. I never saw him mad, or sad, only with a smile. Always glad to see me.

Please pray for my Uncle David, Aunt Bev, Cousin Dave, Josh, Jamie, and Jako's girl Sammy. Their hearts are broken.

Mariah,

you and your family definitely have our prayers and support. You have some amazing inidividuals in your family...talk about beating the odds. I am sorry for your loss, but he sounds like he lived each day as a gift. To me, that means he was truly alive!

Mariah your family is in our prayers. I understand exactly how you feel. My sister also was born with a hole in her heart and has undergone 3 surgeries and has another one pending. She is 45 now and has lived a heck of a lot longer than first diagnosed all those years ago. Keep your chin up and keep smiling....peace
