Thank you so much!

I just wanted to share these with you. It means so much to me when someone takes the time to tell me they appreciate what I do or send words of encouragement.
Thank you so much everyone for your prayers, thoughts, words of encouragement, and for wishing me well. It really does make all of my work, training, and determination to make a difference so worth it! I promise to do everything I can to make you proud in the PHilipppines in July.

Hello Mrs. Moore,

My name is Francis Serrano and I'm the marketing director of WEKAF USA. First off I want to commend you in raising such a wonderful young girl, her level of dedication to the Filipino Martial as well as to the current issues that are facing our communities is something truly inspiring. Your daughter is someone I would love my future daughters to look up and aspire too.

Well that is all I wanted to share and of course I will keep you and your family in my prayers as she prepare for the World Tournament. Good luck and God Speed.

These came from Anna Denton who was a major part of my Fundraising party on the 9th. Anna forwarded my blog, video, and website to all of her associates and these are some of the kind words they sent to Anna about me!

From Anna to her associates:

I just wanted to send you all this link to introduce you to an amazing 14-year-old girl, Mariah Moore, from Alto. My brother-in-law taught her as a little girl, and now she is defending her title representing the United States in the World Championships in the Philippines . I did a fundraiser for her on Monday (lia sophia and Close To My Heart scrap booking - still open! Hint! Hint!) to help fund this trip!

Anna,
She is really something and has quite a future ahead of her. Plus, all the public speaking, etc she is doing. WOW – what a 14 year old! Not many 20-30-40 year olds have accomplished what she already has!

Thanks for sharing.

Anna thank you so much for sending this to me. I actually just had the opportunity today to read it! She is absolutely amazing!! Her resume’ shows how young the road to Olympics really does start and OMG after watching her talent on the video it is hard to believe she is only 14. Plus, with that all American cutie-pa-tootie look of hers, I would never imagine that she could kill me just as easy as looking at me!! Truly Amazing!!

CRACKIN' ME UP!

"Well Wishes for the 2008 World Championships from Ian Robbins"

I hate when people say "good
luck," so I wont wish you luck, just a safe journey. If you train hard
enough then you don't need luck. What you need to do is pray for the poor
dumb shmuck shakin like a dog crapin fish hooks who has to work up the salt
to get in the ring with you after they just saw you use their buddy for
tooth paste. Then tear their heart out and eat it with some of your
tarantula as an hors d'oeuvre.

Sulong Tournament - Tell Guru John you saw it here!

Hi Everyone!
Guru John, the director of the Sulong Tournament in Chicago recently posted this video to promote this years tournament coming in October 2008. I am honored to be included! You can see me about half way thru at 1:50. This is a very fun and exciting event to be a part of and I encourage anyone who practices any of the pacific island arts to come and check it out. We had a blast last year and John has some very special and unique prizes. Without giving it totally away, they are, for the most part hand made and could easily become your new best friend! Hint. Hint.
